I tried it! It took a long time to make but was delicious! But idk how to melt the cheese without burning the bread. I did two batches for the filling, used omnimeat. Yesterday the cheese didn't really melt the bread got brown it was nice and crispy, today I burnt the bread putting the cheese on top in the pan. Salvaged the cheese and filling but I had to throw away the burnt bread and I just had it with non toasted bread. A bummer but at least I still had a good meal.

@herbimetal did you put it on low heat? And maybe try to cover the pan so the steam will melt the cheese. Or just toss bread and cheese to the oven😆

Cool I didn't know you could do that. My stove is a gas stove so I can't really make it low heat or the fire will only be at one spot while I want the whole area to be heated. Maybe I'll try a toaster next time
