Double-boiled Chinese herald soup with plenty of black beans. Surprisingly there were lots of mushrooms, and premium mushrooms at that!! Apart from shiitake mushrooms, there were vegan monkeyhead mushrooms and even morel mushrooms!! 🍲🍄‍🟫 Swipe for the scooping shot~ 📸 So generous and value-for-money. They had a weekday soup set lunch too with homemade yam/pumpkin rice, vegetable, dessert. The fragrant rice topped with mushroom floss and sesame seeds reminded me of Lao Huo Tang's sweet and savoury rice; I would revisit just for the rice tbh hahaha. The vegetable was a simple seasoned lettuce dish (vegan and allium-free rendition substituting oyster sauce and garlic chips), which was crunchy and relatively tasty albeit slightly greasy. 🥬 The dessert consisted of traditional almond tofu jelly.
