Claypot Hericium Rice 砂锅猴头菇饭 au Zhenyi Veggie Place — Avis de windgal (11 mai 2025)

A little surprised to see this claypot dish delivered in a metal bowl instead of an actual clay pot. (Is this the norm now? I haven’t ordered a proper claypot in ages!)

The dish itself fell a bit short of expectations. The rice was overly saturated with the gravy and lacked the signature charred, smoky bits which one would expect from a well-made claypot dish.. The gravy itself was Okay —not bad, but nothing particularly memorable. I found myself wishing for a bit more umami depth.
Also, the ratio of rice to ingredients felt off, with too much rice and not enough toppings to balance it out.

Price was reasonable overall.
