Caponata au aTipico — Avis de pattini (25 sept. 2024)

The caponata is a typical Sicilian dish which happens to be #accidentallyvegan
It’s made with eggplants and other vegetables and it has a sweet and sour taste as most recipes include a little bit of sugar as well as salt in it.
I personally love this dish and I liked this particular one at Atipico, a fully vegan restaurant in Palermo. This dish in particular had a very strong sweetness to it, as if there was more sugar than usual, but it wasn’t unpleasant at all.
On the menu it’s part of the starters, but in our case we decided to combine it with another starter to make a main and it was a good idea.
The price for the caponata alone was 7€.
