This #housemade #gnocchi dish with a sauce made of #legumes was out of this world! Under the beautiful sauce were two types of tender gnocchi - one classic with #potato and flour, the other with local #kale added into it. The sauce was made with eight (yes, 8!!) different types of legumes including #lentils, #redbeans, #whitebeans, #chickpeas and a host of others I can't remember from Chef Manuel's passionate description. Then the dish was drizzled with one sauce made with kale and the other with garbanzos, then sprinkled with homemade #breadcrumbs and fresh #basil leaves.
This was a starter he created for us, split between the four of us. We called a day in advance to make a reservation and request vegan dishes - Chef Manuel was excited to have us and said he would make dishes based on what was available at the markets. So delicious, savory and unique!!
