If you happen to be visiting Zealandia soon (5-25 August), or if a vegan and gluten free Welly on a Plate burger is what you’re after, then look no further! The burger comes in a delicious gluten-free bun and as a non-gluten free person who doesn’t usually enjoy gluten free bread I really did enjoy it. Perhaps the most delicious part of the burger is the grilled pineapple ring - so juicy and tangy - delicious. Unfortunately the jackfruit and lentil patty was quite dry and relied heavily on the brown lentils - I couldn’t really taste much else. That said it still had an okay flavour and the vegan aioli added some taste/fattiness. Comes with delicious kūmara fries. Overall a really solid burger, relatively healthy, and a good portion size for ~$21 NZD.
