'Tis the season to bake cookies, and Christmas in any Greek household would not be complete without Kourabiedes, a delicate, melt-in-your-mouth, shortbread style almond cookie. The cookies can be shaped into rounds that resemble snowballs, or half moon crescents. I always make them round because that's how we used to do it when I was little. Once the cookies are out of the oven, they are dusted generously with lots and lots of powdered sugar.
