Just a couple of days ago I said: I really wish I’d find a vegan whipped cream. I went to Migros a couple of days later and I found this! I was very excited to try it. The taste is very similar to a regular whipped cream, probably less sweet though. Texture is also very similar but has somewhat of a oily finish, it’s hard to explain but it’s like a tactile sensation when it’s on the lips which makes me associate the cream to some oil-like product. The ingredient list however is terrible, with palm oil stated as the second ingredient (although it’s coming from certified sources). If you scan this on Yuka the score is 4/100, which is really bad. The main reason is probably that the amount of fat in this product is too high (16 grams per 100 grams), and it’s interesting to see that on the packaging it says it has 46% less fat than dairy whipped cream: makes you think about how unhealthy the “traditional” whipped cream actually is. The price for this product was 3.80 chf.
