Opal apples are my favorite apples! They are sweet with just a pinch of tart and have such a lovely flavor. Unfortunately neither Sprouts nor Trader Joe’s carried them last season and I haven’t seen them yet this year so I grabbed two when I saw them at Whole Foods.
These two were so good! Very fresh and flavorful. Will need to scope out some other markets near me for more….hopefully at a much better price, as these were a bit high. (These were organic, though, which contributes to a higher price.)
