I was excited to have a first time try of this adventurous sounding #bambooshoots dish - Burning Delicacy.
The name suits the fiery broth that the bamboo shoots are cooked in. I have since read that freshly collected bamboo shoots have a good amount of thiamine, niacin, vitamin A, vitamin B6, and vitamin E [13, 14]. Also, bamboo shoot based diets are a rich source of dietary fibres so it’s a healthy dish as well as an exciting one.
Other solid ingredients included #bamboofungus rich in protein, 21 kinds of amino acids, and rich in vitamin B group and vitamins A, D, E and various minerals, which can benefit the stomach and clear the intestines. Thumbs up to that.
Another inclusion was a fungus native to China called elm ear. The variety of fungii in China is impressive and surprised me.
I loved everything about this restaurant #purevegan The staff were calm, modest and attentive, but never rushed us. Every dish generated ‘mmms’ and ‘wows’. It’s a brand new restaurant and I really hope they get inundated with customers because it’s too good to miss.
One of the best vegan dining out experiences I have had.
