I was hoping that acne would no longer be an issue in my 20s; unfortunately, that hasn’t been the case. I’ve used many salicylic acid products at this point, but I picked up this 1% peel with the hope that the botanical ingredients might be more gentle on my skin. The name is a bit misleading — it doesn’t actually peel off; you have to rinse it away, which slightly reduced the fun factor for me. I think it marginally shrunk a few blemishes, though if you’re prone to dryness, I suggest spot treating and only leaving it on for 1-2 minutes at most. The gel is affordable and smells nice, but its performance is really no different from that of other salicylic acid topical treatments.
