I see they released these which look nearly the same as the protein strips. They are slightly different. They have a more realistic chicken look and texture. I still love the protein strips because they get nice and crispy when fried, where these have a softer texture. I hope they keep selling both.
I suspect more people will prefer these if they notice any difference at all. I feel like these have the tiniest taste or flavour of some sort where the protein strips have no taste at all which I prefer. Either way they both are amazing just with salt and pepper. They go perfectly with any spices, marinades or sauces.
Woollies has the best fake chicken products in my opinion, so either way I’ll buy them both continuously.
