Review of Cheesy Samosa Canai Quesadilla at Indah Cafe. Art & Event Space. Cooking Class by m1tch9i
Give thanks to the deity of your choosing that Canai is #vegan and this quesadilla is #fusion đ DISCLAIMER: the âcheesyâ is not vegan so this was, in fact⊠#veganized đ However, it wonât be for long! The owner happen to chat up my table of friends and said theyâd be restoring more vegan menu items soon đ„čđ„ł Understandably, they had to go more omnivorous in order to survive those treacherous COVID years.
The canai was well toasted to a comforting warmth with crisp on the surface. I remember the sweet salivating #curry potatoes being saltier, but it was probably the cheese that boosted that (as I tried this in my vegetarian streak days). The simple inclusion of the corn, carrot and peas are understated value to holding up this dish đ That being said, the MVP of this dish is the dipping sauce. Itâs only⊠a tomato salsa and pesto kefir đ€Ș You can imagine the salty crisp but fluff of a Canai, WITH the #salty-sweet #spiced creamy starch WITH little gems of peas, carrot and corn. The sauce just threw in the soury tinges of acidity and the freshness of pesto đ€© PLUS Iâm glad this wasnât as messy to eat as youâd expect đ
RM 13.90 used to feel pricey until I realised I can only ever finish half of it. So, itâs basically always 2 meals for me đ The point is on, which is the quality but be warned because this IS a #fullmeal đ„ł Not to mention, they didnât charge extra when I asked for more sauce đ
I do exceptionally recommend this restaurant. From what I know, this was the first properly #veganrestaurant in Kuching đ #supportlocalbusiness
