It’s no surprise that xiang chun fried rice needs to be #veganized as it’s often served with eggs 🍳 Luckily the aunty taking our order got the memo and prepared everything without eggs 📝 They do something different than the vegetarian shops in Penang by frying the rice with seaweed bits 🐠 Pair that with the flavour of #toon oil (toona sinesis) and you have a wonderfully rich and greasy meal 🤤 #sweetdreamsaremadeofgrease The #friedrice was otherwise pretty plain with just small bits of #fakemeat, matchstick carrots, and some cabbage. #veganisnotscary but how I actually found out that there was seaweed in the rice is 🤭🍺📈😴🌅🤢
