LOVE LOVE LOVE that Woolworths has more and more vegan products.
🧀 On the left: Béchamel Style Sauce. I always feel like there should be a hyphen between something and the word “style”. So, like “Béchamel-Style Sauce”. Maybe that’s just me? I haven’t tried it yet but had HUGE FOMO when I saw someone smother some gnocchi with it. Bae says, “I wouldn’t pay R43 for something I could make myself!” But we aren’t all perfect, are we? And essentially, what you are paying for here is CONVENIENCE. I applaud the addition of this product to their range and hope it tastes great.
The Béchamel has gluten and soy in it (for anyone allergic).
The plastic bag is non-recyclable.

Made a cauliflower and broccoli “cheese” with the Bechamel… was really good. Added breadcrumbs to the top as I knew it wouldn’t go brown and crunchy like real cheese 👍🏻
Tried the Béchamel- super impressed! The cheese sauce is waiting in the fridge to be tried and tested 🔆
