This was actually a very very good meal. Lots of flavour (and colour) in the #butterflypea #rice and there's before we go into the delicious ingredients that there were. The #tofu didn't really fit and was a bit plain, very clearly an afterthought as the stand-in for egg (yes, you do need to request this veganisation 👆), but everything else 😋😋😋 Fresh vegetables, #rendang #fakemeat, and the world's most delicious #sambal (for today at least 😛) But I was really really annoyed that this arrived more than an hour late. It missed my planned lunch time and I had it at about 4pm after my early afternoon meetings were done. I quite enjoy food at room temperature because I'm weird, but it's quite possible that someone else would have scored this very differently if they had had to have what I had 😒

This concept didn't entirely work, I'm afraid ☹️ I am generally positive about Vegelab, but not this time. The #tofu, though it had breading, was a thick slab with an inner texture reminiscent of that of bread. You see the problem, right, when it's in the middle of a #burger 😳 Then they also use a particularly pungent #cheeze 😑 Tofu and cheese, that should absolutely never be a thing, like who in their right mind... 😒 Served with a side of soggy #chips

Kudos to them for delivering this #plasticfree 🙌 But honestly I'm still confused - can you call something with grilled #slicedbread a #slider? I always thought those were like little burgers 🤨 Never mind though, I thoroughly enjoyed this! The #bread was grilled just long enough to have a bit of a char to it without going all rocky and crunchy (which is great don't get me wrong, just not with #tuna!) The #veganfish in question was delicious, sweet and creamy and as light as lunch on a Friday 😄 None of the fishiness that I never liked about the real deal 😏 A few different vegetables to round everything out. Definitely would recommend!

I had written off Vegelab on account of one poorly executed dish some time ago, but I'm glad I gave them another chance 🙂 This is an excellent #fusion #pasta dish, the #spaghetti cooked to a point where it approximates to the texture of fried thick noodles in this part of the world 😅 The overall flavour balance is #spicy 😋 And the liberal addition of #basil made this very much a #thai palate overall. I enjoyed the #vegangoose skin on top and the #alfalfasprouts 😋 And the fact that they bothered to plate this nicely even for a delivery. RM23.10 inclusive of a drink, not too shabby!

Not brilliant, but I think that's in part down to the fact that it was a long-distance GrabFood delivery. They buried the #blackpepper #fakechicken (see 2nd picture, totally unconvincing texture anyway 😐) underneath the moist vegetables so whatever crunchiness had called it a day ☹️ The assorted root vegetables on the side tasted like they were simply blanched, and added nothing to the dish. The #eryngii could have been used more creatively. Served with red #quinoa #rice. Don't be fooled by the name of this establishment - they do use milk and eggs so only go for the items which carry the word vegan in their names 🤷‍♂️
