Occasionally I come across a dish that I find hard to criticise. This is one of them... The little cheesebites, the oh so necessary fried chicken, avocado, walnuts and the addition of a little fruit to a salad (this time blackberry). Not many places do salads justice, botanist does.

I've tried a lot of Bao Buns, and these are definitely up there! I think it's mainly the sauce (Kaitaia fire mayo), but the filing was also pretty good, the pan fried chili tofu being my preferred variant. I'm definitely getting this again on my next visit

This would have been a great healthy addition if it had only tasted better. The quinoa kofta didn't quite cut it, perhaps replacing the quinoa with eggplant or seitan? I did appreciate the rice though :3

Kofta Mezze Bowl

This tasted great! And after an initial disappointment at it being tomato rather than mushroom based as well as the lack of visible oyster mushrooms it somehow exceeded my expectations. My portion was slightly small, but looking over enviously at another table it seemed i was just unlucky. Would recommend highly!

Linguine

I like this idea, especially with the scalloped potato, onions and capers. It's missing some sort of sauce to add flavour and to bring it together though

Chicken Schnitzel

This is the dinner variant which requires an extra $6 for fries, at a base price of $28. So probably not great value for money. They have however improved on reducing the oiliness. While not my favourite use of banana flower, I have to admit, it did taste nice.

A great main option, probably could do with a little bit more vegetables, so perhaps getting the side of veges is a good idea. I think I actually prefer this to the Katsu burger as it's got a lot more of the Katsu curry/sauce

This is one of the best Cauliflower nibbles I've had. Spicy flavoursome and a great dip. If can handle spicy food you just gotta try this!

If you like a soft cheesecake this is what you want. A little bit yogurty but overall pretty good. The extras and fantastic playing were much appreciated

Great on paper, but a little too saucy and didn't dig the lentils alongside a mockmeat. Could have been great otherwise, the plan*t mince didn't get a chance to shine I feel. The cheese was good though.

Lasagna

Pretty solid burger option, you can't really go wrong with a thick mock meat patty. They did a great job on the volume and texture of this one, the taste could have had a little something extra though, and I appreciated the mock egg, which tasted more like a nut cheese

WOAP 2021 Burger

I'm not usually a fan on smoothie bowls, but this was pretty decent. I dare say that if you like smoothie bowls, you'll love this! It's the granola, and coconut chia mic pretty well
