They sell these #praline things for 5 zloty each but I got one on the house as I settled my bill. I was expecting something altogether creamier, sweeter, more sinful 😛 This was rather dry and monotone. Not something I would volunteer 5 zloty for 😐

A stiff #gin #spritz to get into the swing of the evening, the bitterness was certainly augmented by the #cucumber! Tel Aviv is a really cool eatery in the equally cool Frascati neighbourhood of Warsaw, I could actually see myself nipping in here just for a cheeky cocktail! 😉

The presentation was great, this #baklava looked stunning as did the clam-shaped plate! My #sweettooth was definitely happy that they had a mini portion for just under 2 euros, because I was most definitely too full up for the full-size option 😬 My complaint would be that the texture was too soggy, it was rather tough to cut through!

What you see is what you get 😅 They say #grilledveggies and they give you grilled veggies - from #aubergine and #carrot to #potato and a side #salad. The theatrically large #asparagus stalks were great to look at but quite tough to eat in parts. The #mushroom was flavourful if a touch underrepresented 😬 The #hummus (topped with #fakemeat) could have had a stronger flavour 😐 All in all I'd level the accusation of being #toohealthy, but hey I'm just not the target market 😳

I skipped lunch because there was no gap in my schedule for the day, so I made up for it by having a #starter all to myself 😊 This #muhammara was actually more enjoyable than my main course, an earthy mix of #peppers, #nuts, #tomato, and this #harissa oil that provided a smooth and greasy texture 😋 Would've been #betterwithoutcoriander of course, but it was my own fault for not specifying given that the menu was clear and upfront 🥲 The #pita wedges were quite crunchy and hard, almost like they'd been toasted beforehand 🤨 Which is fine by me but others may like them soft

The one part of the set lunch which I didn't entirely enjoy. The #pudding had a heavy #chia presence but I have no idea what it was meant to be. The name would suggest some #banana but you wouldn't know it from the flavour (or lack thereof) 😑 Then the two wedges of #orange on top which didn't really add anything 🤨

Okay as the main dish in a four-course set lunch, but if you had this alone you'd probably leave #stillhungry 😬 There's one round #pita bread, on top of which they give you a generous dump of the creamiest #hummus in Warsaw, some pretty convincing #gyros, #tzatziki, #redonions, and bits of #kalamata #olives 😋 All together it made for a delicious combination of flavours. Some #chips on the side.

The purported #appetiser in their four-course set lunch, pretty substantial in its own right! The #falafel had a light crunch (not deep-fried) and excellent flavour, and the #pitabread was soft on one side and slightly crispy on the other, a real treat 😋 This rezza has a very hip vibe (pictures 3 and 4), but nothing quite beats what they put on the door in picture 2 #lgbtqfriendly

I was so excited to go to this place but I am very disappointed by my order :( The board is supposed to be for 2 people and they only bring you 1 small pita cut up in 4 pieces so you kind of have to order more pita for additional charge. Coriander had a very distinct taste and it’s not for everyone so it kind of ruined the hummus for me, I wish they just put parsley instead. The gyros and the veggies all tasted of the same spice (I don’t know which) so it wasn’t easy to get their taste separately. The aioli, olives and muhammara was good but the salad was too little. We left the place hungry and felt it wasn’t worth the money. Maybe it’s just unlucky that we ordered this and maybe I would have loved another plate, but I had such high hopes for this place based on the reviews I’ve seen online that I was very disappointed. We also ordered sparkling water and in the menu it was written that it’s served with mint, apple, cucumber etc. and I asked not to have mint in it. They just brought plain sparkling water with nothing else in it. I saw another table having the sparkling water and the mint was added on top so it’s not like it was pre-mixed and they couldn’t separate it. Incidentally, there was a 10-12 year old kid with his family next to us and he ordered burger menu twice! I don’t know if he was just too hungry or the burgers were not filling either.
