When i saw d menu i was a bit puzzled why they label it as vegan when they clearly served it with ghee rice. I figured the vegan is only the #eggplant #curry but not d rice. We ordered just d curry without the rice. The curry was absolutely delicious,spicy n lived up to its name.You taste all the beautiful mix of spices and and the tangy frm the tamarind. I just wish there’s more 🍆 in it tho. But this dish is so so good.

This is d fanciest serving #rasam ive had. Served in a jug n poured into a cup. It’s lovey n tasty. But i do like my rasam serving with all the ingredients in it tho d mustard seeds d garlic m all those things. This was just a tad too fancy for me,but its delicious so no harm. And i cant seem to upload video tho,dont know why.

This was their fancy take of #indianstreetfood I liked it. The puffed rice was actually fun to eat and really tasty. They spiced it up with a nice array of spices which is not overpowering n has a lovely balance with the whole dish. Thr’s chopped tomatoes there as well n squeeze sm lime to pimp it all up.

Been wanting to try this restaurant so finally got a chance. A lot of the dishes here are so so good. Some came with Raita or ghee but i was there with meat eating friends so i skipped it n they ate it. This is vegan. OMG so so good. The steamed #idli but topped up wth fried spices n curry leaves and it came with tht lovely #coconutchutney I seldom order Idli at Indian eateries,am more of a thosai person. This however is sooo good i wld definitely have it again.

OMG this was so delicious! I feel like this past weekend was defined by fried food 😅 but of all the things I had these were hands down the best. Nothing beats delectable slivers and morsels of onions battered in chickpea batter and fried golden. Soft in some parts, crunchy in others, chewy and crispy all at the same time. And served with a coconut 🥥 chutney that will blow your mind! Podi & Poriyal is hands down my favorite South Indian restaurant in #singapore and they’ve expanded the dinner menu to include so many options and many that can be veganized. Check it out!

Non-alcoholic mocktail made with fresh mango, lemon, raw sugar syrup, and Perrier zero calories sparkling water. I don't typically drink cocktail/mocktail but this was pretty good though slightly expensive! ($16)

Creamy coconut milk ice-cream with filter coffee. Happy that they had vegan ice-cream! The bitter coffee shot balanced out the sweetness of the ice-cream perfectly. (Part of the dessert for the signature 3-course lunch $38 which has a daily changing menu)

Fermented rice and lentil crepe which was thin and crispy along the edges while soft and spongey towards the centre (a bit similar to Chinese min jiang kueh). Light and fragrant, not heavy or oily at all, good as a wholesome choice of staple. Went particularly well with curry. Heard from the staff that 'poriyal' means a type of Tamil Nadu-style stir-fry incorporating grated coconut. Any kind of fresh seasonal vegetables can be used. Ours came with carrot and green bean which were naturally sweet and tender. This dish looked homely but was flavourful! Kuzhambu Curry

Kerala-style coconut milk and mango curry with a spicy kick. Aromatic, rich, and creamy, but not cloying. I've not eaten many curries containing fruit, but I really loved the tanginess from the mangoes! Baby potatoes were used instead of fish, making this dish quite satiating. Probably my favourite from the entire lunch and this went exceptionally well with dosai! Highly recommend trying this crowd-favourite dish; it is also available a la carte.
