This dish reminds me of my grandpa who cooked this bean spouts cake so deliciously. I am thankful that the cook managed to capture fragrance of the bean spouts even though it is quite mild. It is too deep fried too. It would taste much better if it is pan fried and with a more generous serving of bean sprouts.

These satay are actually presented as vegan mock meat skewers with generous serving of peanuts gravy. The taste is alright. I realised that certain mock meat can never replaced the actual meat. In fact, they can never be the same. Comparing the vegan satay with my memory of the real meat, is going to have only one outcome-dissatisfaction.

Achar is a mixed vegetables pickles. Different cooks have different recipes. Some are good and some just miss the point. Many are made in factory which lacks the punch of a well made Achar. This Achar surprisingly tastes nice - the sweetness comes through nicely and the taste of the lime comes through distinctively. This is better than other coffeeshop stalls that I have tasted.

This is a mix of yellow noodles and Kway Tiao. It doesn’t look good at all, but, it tastes surprisingly good. It tastes slightly sweet from the dark sweet sauce. It is drenched with satay sauce, hence it looks very oily. But it is not oily on its own. The cook has done well because this noodles dish tends to be oily.

This curry vegetables is so good. It is cooked with coconut milk. I am so thankful for this. This curry vegetables looks innocently sweet like all others stalls I have ordered, but, it packs a punch! It is so spicy 🥵! But, I love it! 🤣

This hash brown has been too deep fried. The sides are all super crunchy🤣 while the inside is still soft. It still cannot beat McDonalds Hash Browns 😅

My go to place for food when I prayed at Waterloo street Guanyin temple. Good is good, price is reasonable, service is awesome.
