Koufu has been enhancing its efforts to preserve the unique Singaporean coffee shop culture amidst the challenges and rapid changes in our local food and beverage industry. We have managed to transform our organisation through a three-pronged strategy to ensure the “quality”, “service” and “environment” factors are covered. Through this effective strategy we managed to create breakthroughs by integrating modern food court and coffee shop management style and contemporary designs.

Hello again, black sesame ball! Here for a hungry kid pitstop and couldn't resist this goth ball of goodness. Timing matters - this is predictably oil-sogged since we were there past lunchtime, and really best devoured in the morning, fresh out from the deepfryer.

This deepfried Chinese-style donut comes with moreish sweet red bean paste. Good snack when making a quick pitstop at any Koufu branch.

Found in the basement of SMU and open on weekdays and only till 3pm or so on Saturdays. Loved that there is no #deathbyplastic here and that the cut papaya were not already bagged by default like at most fruit stalls.

Fruit is underrated vegan fare - it's nature-bestowed #wholefood at its best. Only required processing needed? Cutting. This cup of watermelon cubes was very welcome.

Calling this the Asian lite version of cinnamon roll - though that doesn't quite do it justice with other spices like star anise lifting this deepfried donut that's more greasy than sticky. If you look really closely, you can almost make out the shape of a heart in this one... 🏻✨

Found in the basement walkway of SMU, this foodcourt isn't exactly a vegan's paradise though it does have some #veganfriendly options, like this simple dim sum-ish dish of steamed rice cakes with cai po (preserved radish). Do skip the chilli though, since that contains dried shrimp.
