Young Green jackfruit

I visited Wing Yip in north London recently and found lots of delicious vegan goods including this #jackfruit which I used to make a tasty Thai curry 🍛

Great jackfruit. It came in a meal kit. Marinated it with tomato paste, soy sauce, bell pepper and garlic powder. Made jackfruit tacos with the jackfruit. #jackfruit #tacos #naturescharm

Not sure what to expect here, since this was the first time I tried green jackfruit. It’s tasteless, really, even though I cooked it in a curry with chickpeas that simmered in the oven for 35 minutes. Hmm …

Makes for the most delicious kebab-style marinated pitas and wraps. On the expensive side though at R45 per tin.
