This week we are celebrating 🥳 our big festival Holi 🥳🎉
I saw this
in store and got an idea for making yummy khir ( खीर - Indian famous festivals sweet dish ) I was hosting my (LordHanuman puja & Holi festival ) couple of Vegan friends and many more . 🎉🥳 we missed you @ Vikas my son .
We had wonderful Holi Colors playing in Singapore 🇸🇬 too with you last time I visited .
Holi is a big color throwing festival for Indian culture . . It’s a welcome of spring with New year begins as Hindu celander . 🙏🎉🎉🥳
I have tried making this before with regular Almod milk but didn’t like the flavor or didn’t find as tasty as I have been eating from child hood with dairy milk 😘
Wow with this milky making Khir
came out so so tasty that everyone wanted to try . . It become a true offering to my God 💕🙏🥳 we call it Prasad 🙏
I would highly recommend if you want to make Indian creamy sweet dessert . 🙌
It was 6:99 $
It was worth making a dessert 🍨 for 8 people .
Usually we spend 7-8 $ per person for sweet dish 😘 as cake slice 🍰🍮or ice cream 🍨 .
It is very simple recipe
Boil milk 1/2 gallon in 4 quart pan on medium heat let it simmer to thicken for 15 mins .
Add 1/3 cup rinse rice
Let it cook on simmer heat until rice cooked and break down . Keep stairing between cooking
Add 1/2 cup sugar ( white or brown ) as per your taste more or less
Let it boil another 5-7 mins done !!
Add saffron threads , chopped almonds and pistachios. .. Traditionally making a sweet dish we add same amount of sugar as rice but for my taste I like less sugar . Cutting the calories too 😘
you can serve hot or chilled . Love 💕 enjoy 😊
