Rustic Solid Deodorant

Ethique is new to me and I love it. Was unsure about using a deodorant bar but it's so easy. No plastic. Vegan and cruelty free.

The entire packaging, including sticker, is compostable. This company makes every effort to be as ethical as possible with their ingredient purchases, packaging, and shipping materials. This is not my favorite, but it's not company's fault. The smell is great, but I sweat so much especially in the summer that I can't rely on this product to keep my pit stink away. I still use it in the winter when I'm mostly going to be at home or having a low impact day.

After a few failed attempts at natural deodorants, this one finally passed the hubby approval test. Really nice scent and texture. Love that they last a while, too! Takes a few days to get used to application, but awesome that there is no plastic!!!

Ethique has wonderful customer service & fast shipping, and I really like that they offer trial sizes so you can try before committing to the full sized versions. Unfortunately, this product didn’t work for me. The scent is really nice, but not strong and fades instantly. The bar texture crumbles easily, leaving lots of small chalky bits on your skin. Most importantly, it didn’t work well to prevent sweat & BO. It definitely didn’t stand up to my work day (sedentary office role!). Apparently you need to reapply throughout the day. For me this is too inconvenient, especially given the messy & crumbly application.

I have been using this for a couple of weeks now and I am super surprised it actually works! Even after a body pump session. YAY to no plastic and all natural ingredients
