Plant based Shrimpiee

These tasted good but not amazing. A bit bland but perfect to chuck in a stir fry or curry. Very easy to cook and they do have a really good texture. I got these from Sainsbury’s, but they also sell them in Asda.

Sorry forgot to get a picture before cooking! I used this to make salt and pepper shrimp with fried rice which it worked very well in! (I coated in cornstarch and seasoning before cooking hence the odd looking texture) The texture was very similar to how I remember it just slightly softer but close enough 🙌 I personally would’ve liked a fishier flavour but my partner was really impressed and thought it was fishy enough so I guess that might be personal preference… I’ll definitely be buying again the only downside was the price which will stop me from buying regularly #veganseafood #veganshrimp #shrimp #seafood #seafoodalternative #happiee #prawn #veganprawn

I had seen plant based shrimps on Instagram, and I couldn’t wait to put my hands on this. They are actually very well made, the look is very similar to the non plant based shrimps, and the flavour is not bad! I cooked them with garlic.
