What fun! In childhood, I adored Kraft mac-n-cheese. It was easy, it was tasty & it was comfort. (Which is a long way of saying, ‘adulting me’ was elated to see the Kraft/NotCo plant-based colab in store.) Thankfully, it has all the taste & feels of the iconic Kraft original only it’s much better, as it’s made without animal ‘products’ & all the baggage that goes along with supporting factory farms. It was okay, but way too sweet for my liking. Maybe next time I will add some veggies with it.
I was surprised when I saw bad reviews for this, but seeing a childhood favorite go plant based I just had to give it a try. I was afraid this would taste overly sweet or fake, but it was actually really good, almost exactly how I remember.
Can’t say I was a big fan of this, found the cheese sauce to be cloyingly sweet. Flavor was ok just too sweet. Added Impossible chick’n nuggets, and lots of black pepper to try and tone it down. I used Oatmilk, not sure if a different milk would make a difference. #veganisnotscary #vegancheese
I was surprised that it requires additional ingredients but the extra work is definitely worth it. The flavour is artificial in the best way if you‘re into foods like that and the portions are pretty good, great summer dinner!
