The delightful Tina from Home Bao her mom were kind enough to pay me a visit in March before #Corona hit us, to wish me for my birthday & deliver some of their frozen dumplings & potstickers. I heard so many good things about their products from Cape Town Vegan, & really wanted to get some, but look at the universe 😇
I stashed the potstickers and dumplings in the freezer and kept them there for ALMOST 2 MONTHS 😅... Okay guys, I know that sounds bad, but hear me out lol...the reason why I kept on delaying making them, was because I was SCARED & INTIMIDATED! I won't lie, I tried making dumplings from scratch before, and YIRRE was it a struggle, only for them to come apart when I boiled them in water. After I was saved the trouble of preparing them from scratch by Home Bao , the preparation of it still intimidated me because I HONESTLY DIDN'T WANT TO FUCK IT UP!
A cloudy Saturday afternoon came where I looked at the Freezer & needed to make that decision to make it! I took it out, read the easy-to-follow text & video instructions on their website, and was shaking my head at myself because of how easy it was to prepare 😂! While I was preparing the dumplings & potstickers, I had my friend Luke help by making the soy sauce dip with the pre-packaged ingredients that was in the Home Bao boxes & we enjoyed these soft & crispy pockets of goodness with his girlfriend Aisha & WOW...what a STUNNING moment it was! There were more than enough from both boxes of dumplings & potstickers for the 3 of us, & there were even leftovers for dinner, which I graciously offered to take off their hands 🤣...Can I be such a vraat lol.
#Covid_19SA hit many local businesses hard, & Home Bao was one of those businesses who have had to restructure to adjust to the change. They‘ve been successful in adjusting to the times & provide you with an online store to purchase their products & have it delivered to your door!
