#cocoa #cacao I’m a rare purchaser of cocoa / cacao powder, so I have no idea how this brand compares to others on the market. But recently I baked a flourless vegan brownie and some chocolate chip cookie dough balls using Hershey’s cocoa / cacao powder. Both recipes turned out very well. I attribute it more to the recipes and their respective ingredients than to my ability in the kitchen. I have no reason not to buy this again, apart from possibly Hershey’s environmental record. Then again, most (if not all) companies in the chocolate space have less than stellar records.

Jan 03 2022 This brand of cocoa powder was my first. It wasn’t the best. Yet, it is kind on my purse. It is cheaper than the rest of cocoa powder. Unfortunately, cheaper doesn’t mean it tastes better. Hershey’s cocoa has the bitterness aftertaste of all the cocoa powder I have bought thereafter. I found Hershey’s cocoa in the baking section of the supermarket. It is meant more for baking chocolate cakes and cookies 🍪. As cakes and cookies have sugar added to them, the bitterness is masked. Nevertheless, it still makes a good hot chocolate when you add sugar or sweetener to your drink. As I like to keep ingredients as simple and little as possible, I skip sugar. Just humble soy and cocoa power to make my cup of hot Cocoa. It is my perk-me-up drink in the morning just as coffee ☕️ is for many people. 😊 2nd photo: Recipes for chocolate cake and chocolate frosting 3rd photo: Suggestion to make a cup of hot chocolate: interesting… a dash of salt! 4th photo: my half-drunk Hershey’s Hot chocolate! Thank you for reading. Wishing you a beautiful 🤩 day everyday of your life.
