Hazelnut and Cranberry Plant Based Roast

First time seeing this roast, and wasn't disappointed! I love hazelnut and cranberry, so the flavors to this were great. The texture was a little odd, but similar to other plant based roasts. this Field Roast Hazelnut & Cranberry Plant-Based Roast is probably one of my fave boxed roasts for the winter holidays! easy to make- just leave time to defrost- and the phyllo wrapping with the cranberry stuffing center makes for a delish, elevated alternative to other more plain roasts on the market! only con is the price at like $20 but it does serve a lot 🍖🍇 #veganproud

Now my go-to roast for any holiday meal. Since it's wrapped in pastry, the seitan inside stays moist. The cranberry filling in the middle is just the right amount and livens it up! It also reheated well in the microwave later.

The only brand-name roast of the trio, but it comes last for us. The hubs says it well: “this one tastes the most like a vegan roast.” There’s a little much faux meat in here and it’s chewier than the others. We kept trying to work out what its mysterious third flavor was, in addition to cranberry and hazelnut: ginger. But it has one thing that neither one of the other roasts has, and that’s a vegan puff pastry crust. Vegan puff pastry makes me happy.

Found this at Safeway, came highly recommended by my parents so I thought I would give it a try! Very easy to cook and delicious! I didn’t find it dry at all and loved the surrounding pastry. 10/10
