🍫This is the dark brother of the plain fermented coconut yoghurt I reviewed earlier. So here is another review of a vegan dessert. Eating yoghurt style foods, best with living ferments in them, is a good choice In order to stay healthy. Our gut bacteria love it. 🍫Shape/Conditioning: A plastic cup with a cardboard printed casing. This means the packaging can easily be separated for recycling of plastics on the one hand and recycling paper/cardboard on the other hand. 🍫Ingredients: However, this coconut milk based dessert does not contain living ferments! But still, the ingredients are really very, very simple: only four: coconut milk, manioc starch (probably serving as a natural stabilizer) dark chocolate and cane sugar. With 14 g of fat per 100 g of product, this reflects more or less the composition of the coconut milk commonly sold in cans. The protein content is significantly lower than the plain, natural, fermented version: 1,5 g of protein per 100 g of product. No artificial colouring or preservation agents added. 😋Taste/bite: Sweet and chocolatey, very smooth and creamy, with the sweetness not being too much. 🤯💶💶💶💶💶Price: I paid 5,26 € per cup in December 2022. That is really very expensive! I’d rather buy the plain version and add some cocoa and sweetener myself. With a price like that, I’d much rather use it sparsely as a topping, for instance on sweet pastries or home made puddings as shown in the last picture with the serving suggestion. 🙏Anyway, Ya is a relatively recent modest scale French company based in Brittany, which has a promising offer and can really be regarded as one of the innovators in their niche. 😀👍Happy to have been able to review one of their products and once again contribute to reducing animal suffering. #vegan #vegandesserts #veganyoghurt #ditchdairy #ditcheggs
