
I was initially expecting a more typical soy and mushroom-based mock meat cutlet, but to my surprise this housemade cutlet was made with whole foods! 🍖 Light and crispy breadcrumbs on the outside, layered with juicy and succulent sliced king oyster mushroom, as well as a creamy taro filling. 🍄🍠 Served on a bed of fragrant, tasty, and spicy X.O.-inspired fried rice with corn and carrot bits. 🌶️🌽🥕 Even without Western liquor, this non-alcoholic rendition of X.O. fried rice earned the praise of my whole non-veg family! Very promising but I personally feel the mushroom in it is a little too tough… Taste, otherwise, is 100% amazing and I do really enjoy it — might have to eat it in-person at the cafe to figure it out haha
Very generous portion of mushroom cutlet. Like how they made a cutlet out of mushroom instead of flour. Rice is mildly spicy and very tasty. This dish is good for sharing.
