Never thought that purple rice crunch topping will work with chocolate sauce and waffles - I mean, first and foremost it is the collision between something extremely western and something more Asian. But I was wrong - the purple rice crunch toppings added a really nice double layer of crunchiness to the already slightly crispy outside-layer of waffles. Imagine a crumble cake, lengthened and places on a stick - that’s almost exactly what this feels like.



The third place to serve waffles in Singapore, cozy corner kicked it up yet another notch by selling the first maple shaped waffles that taste almost exactly like a Belgian waffle - crispy on the outside and cakes on the inside (like a fluffy cake). The best part is that it’s texture remained constant despite being left out for 15min while we took the picture, by which time it had cooled down completely. And the shape with its gorgeous garnish of homemade chocolate sauce drizzle and the doubled crunch from peanuts made this all the more lovely.
