It's no secret that sushi is one of my favorites. I love the elaborate vegan sushi from places like Blue Sushi Saki and the very basic avocado sushi. 🥑 This little restaurant is nestled amongst the many fast food chains on Ohio State's campus. They have a small eat-in area, but it's mainly carryout. It's really cute inside, and the little booths for two are adorable.
I hate to leave a negative review because the other two items I purchased from Yoshi's were good, but this was absolutely not. They only have three #vegan options, this being one. I had ordered two rolls, and this one, 'The Vegetable Roll', happened to be in the deli case, and instead of making a fresh one, they gave me this. It has carrot, cucumber, avocado, Daikon, and sesame seeds. It was so old and stale. Some of the avocado was brown or black, and the rice was completely crunchy. Someone even thought they tasted mold on the daikon. That being said, I couldn't eat it. I have a feeling that was more than a few days old.
My word of advice is to make sure to ask for a fresh roll (they only have two vegan ones) if you see that one is in the deli case. These rolls are large and only $7.49. Normally, that would be a good value if it wasn't too old to eat.
