Soy Lasagne

This is part of a four dish platter I chose, portion was a small serving just nice with the combi of the other dishes. It's very cheesy and the soy mince with very tasty in this. Nicely baked.

This place is located in a food hall in Shinjuku. It is 100% vegan and had lots of dishes that I wanted to try! I had really wanted to try this soy lasagne. I remember when I lived in Japan and before I was vegan, it was difficult to even find a regular lasagne, let alone a vegan one! The dish didn't come out looking like the picture which was a free standing lasagne, it actually came out looking exactly like the picture of the gratin and even asked to check that it was in fact the lasagne. It definitely was the lasagne because there were several noodle layers. I'm very attracted to carby and cheesy dishes like this and would get this again. It was priced at ¥660 and is labelled as "limited quantity" on the menu, like the gratin, so may sell out by the end of the day. #veganjapan #japan #tokyo
