This mooncake had a touch of pandan flavour to it. Personally, the pandan flavour was not strong enough for me. The filling was a traditional lotus paste filling (can’t go wrong with that) Overall the mooncake was good but not great.
💚 If there is 6 stars, this Pandan Snow Skin Moon Cake gets it! 💚 After trying quite a few flavours of the snow skin moon cake from the Uncle at Dongshan Bakery, I wanted to see if there were any more I have not tried since it is the last day of the annual Moon Cake Festival. 💚 This is by far the BEST flavor among all the ones I rated 5 stars. The pandan is so fragrant, the lotus paste filling is smooth, the sweetness is just right. The pine nuts arr generous. It is so good I ate two pieces at one go. 💚 The series of snow skin moon cakes are all vegan. The lotus paste is imported just for this special season. He even showed me the box! 💚 Told the bakery uncle I ate so many of his moon cakes. He just laughed & said drink more lemon water. 💚 Lucky for me he had just 3 boxes left of the Pandan flavor. I bought one. But after I tasted this, I am like I should have bought all of them! 💚 Now I have to wait til next year! 💖 Day5 #veganisnotscary #mooncake #snowskin #minimooncake #midautumefestival #veganbakery #chinesefood #asianfood ##localfood #supportsg #supportlocal #supportlocalbusiness
Lots of flavours to choose from! You’ll be spoilt for choices. Too sweet for my liking and am not particularly fond of snowskin (unless there’s alcohol in it)
Saw them handmaking the mooncakes so i decided to try one. Not sure about the flavor tbh. The skin tastes like typical kueh. I find it quite sweet, but it still has a nice chewy stick-in-your-mouth texture. I would love to purchase this again from them.
Glad to find vegan mooncakes 🥮 but this was disappointing like the others. Could hardly taste the pandan flavor and cost $3 for a small piece. Green tea was the only one with a good flavor.
