Orange Chicken

Vegan Ramen Mei was the first restaurant we tried in Puerto Vallarta. What I liked: This Orange Chicken was unlike the (mock) orange chicken in the United States and I liked it for that! Way less sweet and greasy. This vegan fried chicken with a mildly sweet hint of orange. What I didn't like: it's a bit dry and didn't come with a sauce. Also, if you're looking for a very realistic chicken substitute, this won't be it. It's very clearly (and deliciously) texturized soy/vegetable protein (TVP). But that obviously doesn't bother me!

Tasty vegan dish that hits the spot. Crunchy but juicy and not overly sweet.
