I always love a good bowl of Laksa. When I see the Laksa being prepared, the cook is definitely very generous with the thick white noodles. Unfortunately, it lacks in its presentation. I realised a good presentation of food is very important especially many diners are taking photo & sharing on social media. Many feast with their eyes first before tasting the food. When the food looks so good, people will say, “Let’s go here to eat!” This bowl of Laksa is one flat unexciting colour. Ingredients are hidden underneath the thick gravy. It would be beautiful to arrange the ingredients nicely on top of the gravy which I have done for this photo to be taken. Maybe this isn’t a priority when fast serving of food is important. Time & effort is needed for presentation. A good bowl of Laksa is its gravy. It is either delicious or disappointing. My first sip of the gravy was disappointing. It is too thick. The more I eat, the more I don’t feel like eating. As I treasure my food, I finished the Laksa. If you ask me whether I’m eating this again, my answer is no. The mock sliced fishball, sliced mock prawn & deep fried Tao Hu Pok couldn’t help to save this dish. At $6 a bowl, the experience doesn’t match up with the price it commands. #
