Lady Finger Roll

These were absolutely delicious. Okra sushi rolls wrapped in a thin beancurd sheet, served warm with a slightly sweet sauce. The flavors and textures worked so well together - what a great example of purely vegan food (without mock meats) that is also flavorful and filling!

This roll was so fun to eat- the different textures throughout provided layers of surprise with every bite. The tempura batter is usually vegetarian but if you ask they may do a special vegan one ( they kindly did so for me!) The top was slightly charred which created a lovely smoky flavor as well as a chew.
