Kahuku Sunrise

I gave this five stars on value because this was a birthday reward that they gave me, but I don’t know what the actual price is. When I got the email about this free treat, I actually thought it was a drink I envisioned a swirl of yellow, orange and red, maybe pineapple and strawberry smoothie or juice. But rather, this is a frozen treat of passion fruit (or lilikoi, as what we call it here in Hawaii) topped with sauce of what I think is mainly li hing mui, which I generally don’t like, but its a subtle taste here, not overbearing, so I like however they made this sauce. I also liked the cute little flowers that they added. I don’t know if they’re edible, but I chewed on them and it was actually a little tasty and refreshing with the lilikoi.  This come in a plastic container, and I forgot to take a photo of the top, which is a dome. Although it’s a bummer that it has to be plastic, I’ll be able to reuse this many times as a mini greenhouse as I plant seeds.  #passionfruit #lilikoi #veganoahu #onthego #summer
