#oddburger #vegangyros #vegan #veganisnotscary On the anniversaries of my dogs’ passings and their birthdays, I celebrate them by going out and getting a burger. This tradition started in the 1990s (in my pre-vegan days) when I used to buy my first dog a burger for his birthday. This year, I decided to have a gyro instead. At Odd Burger - a vegan / plant-based fast food chain - they have fantastic gyros! On the company’s website, they describe it as “Greek street food made vegan! We thinly slice our house-made gyro 'meat' the traditional way and add plenty of tzatziki to boot. You'll feel like a Greek god after having one of these!” The last photo gives you a list of ingredients that go into the ‘meat’ and tzatziki sauce. In addition, the gyro is loaded with red onions, lettuce, diced tomatoes and some seasoning. It was absolutely delicious and a great alternative to burgers. It could get a little messy with some sauce potentially dripping, but it’s all good. It wasn’t the first time having a Gyro at Odd Burger and it certainly won’t be my last time. I made my Gyro an upgraded combo, with Fries Supreme (to be reviewed next) and a pop for about $20.
