Chicken Rice

It's okay, I preferred the noodles over this. The meat in this is basically just soya skin. Having said that, the rice was really tasty. Overall not bad for the price. If you want really tasty chicken rice, I recommend gokul! #abillionturns3

#MeatlessMonday I was thinking what to have for lunch and found this on abillion APP. Saw that Daily Green have this vegetarian “chicken” rice that has a high rating and review so decided to check it out. What’s interesting is that they have this vegetarian Char Siew with it. It really have that char siew taste and texture 👍🏻 The rice has that chicken rice’s fragrance, garlicky and oily taste. For the “chicken meat”, they uses beancurd skin which mimic it nicely the colored skin and texture. Paired with their chilli sauce which really had that chicken rice chill taste, it was a good combi. $4.00 a plate together with a corn soup. Not too bad. Worth it. Pretty filling. Will come back again but will add “chicken” next time 😉👍🏻

I've grown to enjoy this type of chicken rice where the "chicken" is actually fried seasoned bean curd skin. It has great flavour, I like the texture and absorbs the sweet soy sauce and chili sauce well too. The rice is also really well-made and has the chicken rice taste! It came with a fantastic old cucumber soup! This cost just $3.50.
