Char Siew Kolo Mee

Char siew kolo mee. $4.50. Saucy but the sauce no taste as in no particularly savoury or sweet mostly like the dark soy sauce hint of sweetness or maybe the chili overpowered it? Noodles are bouncy aka QQ but I would say it's more al dente bite than QQ. Char siew is not overtly sweet (vegetarian stall sometimes make it super sweet), and have "lean meat" parts. Fried Soybean curd skin is same like everyone else's, no notes. portion size is good. The soup has herbal soup taste, quite fragrant got like dang gui, mushroom, goji berry/date, peppery smell to it. Love the soup but not the main dish.

The kolo mee and sauce were good. Noodles had nice bite to it and char siew were not as fakey as those vegetarian beehoon stall ones. Upsized to a big portion and still economical at $5.50.
