Buffalo Maitake Wings

Our first dinner in NYC was at this lovely vegan restaurant, and we shared a couple of dishes. This was Maitake #Mushrooms with Choice of Buffalo Sauce, BBQ, and Sweet Thai Chili, served with Potato Salad, Celery Sticks, Carrot Sticks, and House Bleu Cheese. The “wings” were so meaty, they make for a great substitute, and the covering was great as well. The cheese/potato salad was really nothing special, if I were them I would change the recipe. I’m glad that we could drink tap water there and save money on drinks because 21$ for this plate almost caused me an heart attack haha 🗽 #nyc #vegannewyork #newyorkcity #vegantravel

Esse aqui não dá pra mim não. Parece q foi empanado no molho de pimenta! 🥵🥵🥵 Precisei “desempanar” pra conseguir comer os cogumelos - que estavam perfeitos e suculentos. A maionese de batata é muito parecida com o que temos no Brasil e deu uma equilibrada na pimenta dos cogumelos. Não pediria de novo (e olha q eu gosto de pimenta!). #nyc #buffalowings

These were delicious! Crunchy & savory and hearty. I would have honestly preferred a little less breading (I love the taste of the mushrooms themselves).
