I used to LOVE rillettes before I turned vegan years back. I was so excited
to
try these as I also love Karana.
I can’t say this dish tastes like French rillettes as the onions are very overpowering, but if you forget about meat rillettes, it’s actually delicious!
As a pate on bread without the expectation of it tasting like rillettes, this is a 4/5. As rillettes, I’d say it’s a 2/5.
I wish Atout didn’t add so much onion as I think Karana is the perfect texture to make rillettes !
Would I order this again? 100%, as this is still delicious on bread (I ordered this tonight as an easy movie night platter, and am finishing the tub as I type this, it says it all 😆)
