My first time trying marranito. So tasty, and indeed adorable. Made with piloncillo, and they have a nice soft chewy cakey texture. Very interested to learn about the cultural significance of marranito. #Pandulce #marranito
Incidentally, the marranitos brought back a very distant, repressed memory of the pig-shaped biscuits i had in singapore when i was very young, during mid-autumn festivals. Somehow the taste and textures were reminiscent of those.
