While in East Hampton, Long Island, NY, my niece wanted this Mike and Ike Chewy Cotton Candy Flavored Candies. For her parents and uncle (me), the name “Mike and Ike” is a blast from the past. Unfortunately, this particular candy didn’t live up to the company’s legacy.
Needless to say, the candy is all sugar. One quarter of the package has more than one-third of your day’s recommended sugar intake. While the flavour of cotton candy can be detected in the candy, it lacked intensity.
This candy was purchased at Dylan’s Candy Bar in East Hampton for $3.00 US ($4.20 Canadian). Everything, including candy, is overpriced in East Hampton simply because of the wealth in the area; price and value are disconnected.
I wouldn’t recommend this candy.
