I was genuinely surprised to stumble upon salpicón at Dulce Día, a Colombian dessert spot right in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD. You don’t expect to find this tropical gem so far from Colombia, and it’s absolutely amazing—fresh, vibrant, and bursting with a rainbow of juicy fruits like pineapple, papaya, watermelon, and mango. Naturally sweet, incredibly refreshing, and loaded with goodness, it’s the perfect healthy pick-me-up. Plus, it’s totally vegan-friendly—just ask for it without the ice cream and condensed milk, and you’ll get a pure, plant-based burst of sunshine in a glass. Healthy as, and hands down one of the best foodie surprises in the city.
