An unexpected surprise in my sister’s fridge was Ortega Original Taco Sauce. She had ordered it from Fresh Direct but couldn’t remember the price.
I used it as a substitute for ketchup to put on my French fries / waffle fries and Beyond Meat sausage. It’s a fresh tasting spicy alternative without the abundant sugar content typically found in ketchup.
I guess its spiciness is from the vinegar and spices, and I’m happy that there also isn’t a lot of sodium.
I hope she’ll have it again for my next visit around Christmas time.
