This is the toast I never thought I needed! Finally hiked it to Slow Bakes, which is legendary for the beautiful ambience and veganfriendly bakes. You can customise your toast from the bread to the spread, so I opted for rainbow bread-like turmeric swirl toast (swipe left and look at the underside for the colours!) with a satisfying toasted crusty crunch and an avocado chia seed spread that was less spread but more full-on smashed avocado, period (not complaining - this is good!). Depending on the time of visit this could be either noisy or quiet with other patrons around. I arrived before 12pm and sat with a book overlooking Yishun Pond waters - it was serene for a good 15 minutes or so before the lunchtime crowd trickled in and gradually made it less... ethereal.
