I got this for my friend for her birthday, and everyone was impressed. Not only is it beautiful, but also tastes delicious. It was so creamy and yummy and was a perfect way to complete a delicious vegan meal at Tane Vegan Izakaya (these two places are just a short drive from each other). I arrived first and spoke with the waitress to hide it in their freezer before dessert. And then I waited for my friend in the parking lot and acted like I just got there when she arrived. She was so surprised and happy when they brought this out with a candle.
Not everything here is vegan, and sometimes I feel left out, because they’re always emailing me their new special flavor concoctions, which are rarely vegan, but they do have a good variety of options that are standard on the menu. It’s so easy to order ahead too, which is nice, because the only reliable parking lot near here is metered parking (I either pick a spot where someone else just left with a little time left, or I risk it and just pick up real quick). I actually ordered this cake online the night before my outing. There was even an option to pick up the same day. It comes with 2 toppings. I selected almonds and coconut shreds with this, and I paid a little extra for the coconut whipped cream, which I forgot to take a photo of. Actually, I didn’t want to cover the beautiful flower petals in my photo.
